Tell us something interesting about you that’s not on your resume.

I have a creative side. I produce music, digital artwork, logos, and am currently working on designing my own clothing brand.

As a recruiter, you spend a ton of time talking to candidates. What advice would you give to candidates looking to switch jobs right now?

Find the culture that works for you. The money will come.

What’s the worst thing a candidate can do during the interview process?

Show up late (without a very strong reason). Tenfold for virtual interviews.

What makes a candidate stand out from the rest?

Their ability to break down their answer/resume into easily digestible information. The best candidates I have worked with have been able to educate me on the problems they have encountered, the processes they have implemented that solve said problems, and the results/achievements they have accumulated.

What was the best book you read last year and why?

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, by Robin Sharma

An inspiring fable of a high-powered lawyer, living an unhealthy lifestyle, who makes a conscious decision to bring clarity to his life. He does so through the lessons and teachings of Himalayan monks. The lessons learned throughout this novel are portrayed through a series of metaphors, easily envisioned in the reader’s mind. When applied, the lessons are very powerful tools to achieve success and balance, in every aspect of life.
